Founded in 2023

The 1796 is a sports blog dedicated to sports in the state of Tennessee. We cover all the latest happenings with the Tennessee Titans, Tennessee Volunteers, Memphis Grizzlies, and Nashville Predators. Occasionally, we will hit on other Tennessee teams including: Vanderbilt Commodores, Memphis Tigers, Austin Peay Governors, Nashville Sounds, and Nashville SC.

The blog was founded by Bryce and Ryan, two Tennessee natives who felt there was a lack of content exclusively about Tennessee teams. Ryan is a graduate of the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee. Bryce graduated from Austin Peay State University and his work has been featured in FanSided, Saturday Down South, A to Z Sports, The Leaf-Chronicle, and The NIL Deal.
