Tennessee’s Donde Plowman blasts NCAA as “morally wrong” over investigation

The Tennessee Volunteers are reportedly facing an investigation into multiple sports following NIL violations. Noted Vol hater Pat Forde broke the report, so naturally, many in Vol Nation were skeptical.

The university has not released an official statement and as of this writing, has not received a formal notice of allegations. However, the University of Tennessee Chancellor Donde Plowman responded directly to NCAA President Charlie Baker.

Plowman did not pull any punches and called the NCAA “morally wrong” and “intellectually dishonest”.

Whether these allegations are legit or not, it is obvious that Plowman and the rest of the UT administration are not going to roll over simply. To summarize Plowman’s statement. she essentially said the school has done nothing wrong and the NCAA can kiss our big orange ass.

In my opinion, the NCAA should be dragged through the mud. It’s been known for ages that the organization is a sham that doesn’t care anything about the student-athletes they claim to represent. It’s ridiculous to claim that the Vols violated NIL regulations when there are no set NIL regulations in the first place. The NCAA sat on their hands and let each state make their own NIL regulations, instead of a wide-sweeping, standardized set of regulations. The NCAA is a joke and appears set to try and make an example out of Tennessee.

Fortunately for us, our school is run by people with spines. We won’t simply sit back and let the NCAA screw us.
